Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series goes official from $1,199 with Photoshop pre-installed
Samsung is today officially launching its new Galaxy Tab S12 series with the Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra delivering big displays, powerful specs, and some new software tricks too.
Available starting October 7, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra continue Samsung’s flagship tablet series with some nominal upgrades. While they’re visually almost identical to prior generations, there are some spec bumps, including the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500.
Besides the size, one of the notable differences is that there’s no cellular version of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. Samsung has no smaller screen size available this year, with the Galaxy Tab S11 still serving as the 11-inch option.
Both tablets, Samsung says, include a larger vapor chamber for heat dissipation, retain the IP68 dust/water resistance rating of prior models, and ship with One UI 9 (Android 17) out of the box with seven years of OS + security updates. There’s also an S Pen included in the box, with a keyboard cover and other accessories available as add-on purchases.
Samsung has new partnerships with productivity apps, too. Adobe Photoshop is pre-installed on the Galaxy Tab S12 series. The app has S Pen optimization and users get four months of free access to the app as well. Notability, a recent arrival on Android, is also pre-loaded and comes with a six-month trial. There are further freebies in Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Notion, and others, as well as a six-month Google AI Pro trial for boosted Gemini capabilities.
Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at $1,199, while Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at $1,399, the latter being a $100 increase over last year. As mentioned, both are available in the US starting October 7.
